Emmanuel Episcopal Church Sanctuary Renovation

The renovation to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Southern Pines involved minor upgrades to the existing sanctuary and a complete change to the choir loft along with church support areas.  The existing roof was partially removed to allow for the new choir loft framing to be installed above and behind the alter area.  Structural steel framing was installed on new foundations, block curtain walls constructed, and imitation slate roofing installed.  The choir loft also serves as the location of a Fisk pipe organ therefore cork flooring over concrete plank was installed as the main floor system for the choir loft.  All work was completed while the Emmanuel Episcopal Day School and church activities were conducted in the immediate area of the construction site.
