Wake Forest Community Library
Progressive Contracting Co., Inc. was selected to complete the renovation of an existing one-story 5,170 square foot library building and a new 4,000 square foot addition, in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The increased building footprint allowed for additional offices, workrooms, and storage, as well as a significantly increased library catalog for public use.
On the exterior, the renovation leaves behind a beautifully brick clad building with aluminum storefront windows and entrances, a large curtain-wall system that brings an abundance of natural daylight into the reading areas, aluminum sunshades, upgraded landscaping, concrete walks, and brick pavers.
The interior boasts all new finishes, highlighted by acoustical and wood plank ceilings, and custom-built mill-work. Also featured are all new state-of-the-art plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire alarm and security systems.
The newly renovated Wake Forest Community Library has significantly upgraded an already central location of community, reading, research, and learning for the Town of Wake Forest.
